MKN SteelPlus option uses near-zero carbon footprint stainless steel to improve the sustainability of professional kitchens

The independent international premium manufacturer MKN with more than 600 employees worlwide, presents its latest achievement: MKN SteelPlus.

Made from Aperam infinite™ near-zero carbon stainless steel, the SteelPlus option is available for MKN’s combi-steamer and FlexiChef products.

Compared to stainless steel conventionally produced in Europe, MKN SteelPlus* is characterized by a reduction of over 40%* in CO2 emissions. The comparison with stainless steel worldwide is even more impressive, with a saving of 80%**.

Another important aspect is that MKN SteelPlus* is made using 98% scrap content, which further underlines the sustainability.

All this enables users to actively optimize their carbon footprint and meet the increasing demands for sustainable practices and technologies in commercial kitchens.

More than 80% of MKN's suppliers come from Germany, which not only strengthens regional value creation, but also optimizes the quality, sustainability and environmental compatibility of its products. In addition, MKN uses the most-modern, energy-efficient stainless steel processing technology.
